Services are scheduled by appointment and subject to technician availability. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service at our discretion.

3. SMS / Text Messaging Program

Program Description

Boston & Cambridge Appliance Repair, Inc. operates a text messaging (SMS) program (“the Program”) to communicate with customers about their scheduled service appointments and related matters. Messages are sent from our dedicated business number (781) 524-7118 using the Jobber platform.

Message Types

By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive transactional text messages from us, which may include:

  • Technician on-the-way and arrival notifications

4. Appointments and Scheduling

Service appointments are confirmed by our office staff by phone, email, or text message. We request that customers notify us at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Boston & Cambridge Appliance Repair, Inc. reserves the right to charge a cancellation or no-show fee for appointments cancelled without adequate notice, at our discretion.

We will make every reasonable effort to arrive within the scheduled service window. Arrival times are estimates and may be affected by prior jobs, traffic, and other factors outside our control.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service completion unless prior arrangements have been made in writing. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and checks. Landlord and realty accounts may qualify for Net 60 payment terms by prior agreement.

Customers are responsible for all charges related to parts, labor, and any applicable service or diagnostic fees as quoted prior to work being performed. Invoices not paid within the agreed period may be subject to late fees and/or referral to a collections process.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Boston & Cambridge Appliance Repair, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the services provided. In any event, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, beyond any warranty expressly stated in a written estimate or service agreement provided to you at the time of service. We make no warranty that services will result in any particular outcome or that repaired appliances will be free from future defects or failures. 
 
Our liability arising from any service performed shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service visit giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of food, loss of business income, loss of use, property damage, water damage, mold damage, other economic losses or extra-contractual damages.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services we provide, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at office@bostonappliance.biz or 617-262-5757. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue available legal remedies.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County or Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

10. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services or your continued enrollment in our SMS messaging program following any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
